Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) Announced “Interiors Pakistan” Expo-2018 in December

To attract the local and foreign investors and buyers of quality furniture PFC (Pakistan Furniture Council) announced on Tuesday to hold three days Mega Furniture Expo in December to promote the local furniture worldwide to enhance Pakistan’s furniture exports worldwide. The CEO of Pakistan furniture council stated in the press conference that this will be the biggest opportunity for the local and foreign investors to invest in this industry. The CE (Chief Executive) of Pakistan furniture council claimed that the aim of this expo is to introduce and promote the Pakistani furniture, interior and accessories in the world’s market. The CE of PFC says in a press release that they will finalize the essential things for the expo in the meeting of the board of directors. The CE also added in his talk that Pakistan Furniture Council had successfully organized the nine mega exhibitions in Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore and got a splendid response from the public and private sectors firms. The CE of PFC also stated that delegations of other countries (United Kingdom, China, Italy, Turkey, Denmark, and Thailand) will also be invited to participate in the upcoming exhibition going to held in December.

Diplomatic corps members, businessmen, stakeholders from different furniture industry and also the foreign delegations will attend this event. In this Mega Event more than 70 leading local and international furniture companies and interior designers will display their products in this furniture expo and as the previous trend about 3, 00,000 people are likely to visit this mega furniture expo. The basic purpose of this mega exhibition is to promote our local furniture at an international level. The CEO of Pakistan Furniture Council Mian Kashif advised the government to build different and exclusive expo centers for the industry of furniture each in different cities and especially in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad. He told that only 30% of top traders from the country visit the fairs and expos in Karachi. Having different expo centers in different cities will also help to increase the trade with the foreign investors.

The chief of Pakistan Furniture council stated that this expo will really helpful in building the direct connection of buyers with entrepreneurs. He also told that with a little support this industry can generate more employment and revenue to support the economy. He said that rice and textile industry are generating the $16 billion dollars and exports of furniture on the other side producing insufficient revenue of $51 million.
