Further, he added: His visit to England was really helpful in finding the new and innovative ideas for modern designs furniture. He said the delegation of PFC found various aspects of its export. He said that he had various meetings with the British furniture council members and discusses many ways to enhance the trade, especially in the furniture industry.

He said: In his visit to the United Kingdom he extended the invitation to majority all the leading companies and importers of Furniture to participate the 3-days Furniture exhibition Scheduled in Lahore to be held on December 14, 2018. Most of the furniture brands shown their interest to display their stalls in this exhibition besides visiting different outlets of the furniture industry. He added that the delegation of PFC learned new skills and techniques to produce the furniture according to the standard of International market.

Mian Kashif said that there are many small furniture industries that require funding to compete in the international market. To fulfill their needs Government must support them as these furniture companies can generate a good revenue for the Economy. He said that this business tour to the UK was a great success and such tours are really helpful in making the Furniture of Pakistan prominent in International Market. He said such tours are really helpful in generating export revenue up to $1billion annually in the international market.

He said foreigners really like the handmade furniture of Pakistan and similar designs can be replicated in the international market. Efforts must be continued by PFC and local manufacturers to promote our local furniture by participating in international furniture shows. The demand for Pakistani Furniture in International Market is higher than our neighbor countries. Mian Kashif added: PFC is planning a strategy that will create more than $850 million export by the end of this year. He said TDAP (Trade Development Authority Pakistan) must support the exporters at international furniture exhibitions.
